Local tourists from China

I went to see "The Song of Everlasting Regret" on the night of my trip to Xi'an, and getting tickets was really tough! But it was definitely worth it and absolutely breathtaking. It was my first time seeing a performance like this, and I was constantly filled with surprises. It got a bit chilly in the evening, so I bought two shawls. The stunning stage effects truly captured the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty, with beautiful traditional Chinese costumes, excellent dancing, and moving music perfectly telling the love story of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei. The lighting and special effects were just right, especially during the Anshi Rebellion scenes, creating an intense atmosphere with flames and swordplay. This performance is truly a feast for the eyes and ears, immersing you in the experience and making it unforgettable! If you're traveling to Xian, definitely book your tickets in advance; it's absolutely worth seeing. However, in winter, it might be too cold for some water performances.

I bought tickets with a friend, and our seats were 63 and 65, so we were right next to each other. The stage and palace buildings could actually rise and fall, which was surprising. The stage setup was incredibly beautiful, with exquisite scenery and cleverly matched lighting colors. The actors' costumes were stunning, way nicer than the Hanfu I rented for my trip to Xi'an! The music and choreography were also fantastic. The performers were very skilled, and the live action really needed to be felt; their clean and precise movements made it easy for people in the back to see.
At the beginning, countless lights lit up on Lishan, and the audience gasped in awe. The water curtain rising with shadowy figures was an amazing transition, and the fiery show in the second half brought real heat waves that felt like flashes of swordplay on my face. The whole experience was thrilling, and I would rather endure the trouble of not being able to get a ride afterward than leave before the final curtain. I sincerely applauded the actors!

First, I have to complain a bit. I chose the Middle B Zone but was randomly assigned to the last few rows, in Row 26. Even though Middle B is a second-tier area, being so far back really hurt the experience—it was tough to see everything. I wish the ticketing platform worked like movie theaters, where you can choose your seats early and see them clearly.
As for the performance itself, it was pretty good overall. The sound, lighting, fire effects, and props all worked well together, and the scene transitions and actors were very professional.

If you travel to Xi'an, you definitely have to see "The Everlasting Song." The only downside is that the performance is at night, so you have to wait a long time. Since the venue is in the mountains, it gets pretty chilly, so be sure to dress warmly. I booked our tickets online in advance, and we got tickets for Zone B because the A Zone was already sold out for that time. There were so many people there to see the show, and we waited quite a while to get in. Once we were seated, the show started shortly after. The spectacle was truly breathtaking, and we didn't dare blink, afraid to miss a single moment. The actors were very dedicated, and it’s definitely worth seeing!
