Beijing Accommodation Guide

Make sure your hotel can accommodate foreigners

In China, not all hotels have the necessary license to accommodate foreign guests. Discovering this only after arriving at the hotel can add a lot of inconvenience to your trip. To avoid this issue, it’s advisable to use Trip to book your hotel in advance.

Trip is the largest travel agency in China. When booking hotels in China, it’s important to choose one that is authorized to accommodate foreign guests. Trip clearly indicates which hotels are suitable for foreigners. Additionally, Trip offers online chat support, allowing you to directly inquire with the hotel. When staying at hotels in China, you must present passports for all guests; Trip allows you to edit or add guest names in your itinerary. Trip also supports payment with international cards such as VISA and MasterCard.

Although Airbnb exited the Chinese market in July 2022, foreigners can still stay in homestays while visiting China. As long as the homestay is listed on Trip with the qualification to accommodate foreign guests, you can book it. If you have any special service requests, you can also use Trip’s online chat to communicate and confirm details with the homestay.
