Kweixing Tower
You never know what floor you’re on—are you on the first floor or the 22nd?
Kweixing Tower is a historic cultural landmark in Chongqing. While many places in China have Kweixing Towers, Chongqing’s is definitely the most unique. It visually showcases the city’s distinctive mountainous terrain. When you first walk up from the street, you might think you’re on the first floor, only to suddenly find yourself on the 22nd. This vividly illustrates the magical characteristics of Chongqing—you never know what floor you’re on. Kuixing Tower has also become a must-visit spot for tourists looking to take photos during their Chongqing trip.
The two “suspended” sky bridges between the square and the office buildings are a major hotspot in Chongqing. Standing on the bridges, visitors can experience the vertical drops of the mountainous city, feeling both the thrill and awe. Each bridge is about 23 meters long and 4 meters wide, with an impressive height of 65.8 meters above the ground. However, there’s no need to worry about safety, as they can support the weight of around 368 adults.
Practical Travel Tips
- People who are afraid of heights should be careful—hold onto the handrails, as the bridge might sway slightly. But don’t worry, it’s very sturdy.
- Kweixing Pavilion is just a 10-minute walk from Jiefangbei, so it’s recommended to visit both attractions together.

As we walked further, we spotted a suspended bridge. From up there, it’s 22 floors high! It’s amazing that the road and the 22st floor are at the same level—wow, what a magical view! After crossing the bridge, there’s a hotel, and right across is the Yangtze River, with boats passing by. Lots of people were taking pictures on the bridge. I can’t wait to go back next time!
